An album I can definitely say is Mum's. If you look on the top left hand corner of the above picture, you can see her name and address.
This album was missing from our house for many years. Turns out my Uncle Les, my Dad's younger brother had it. Because of this, the album had a long journey back to us. It started off with Mum in Southport, she married and moved to Liverpool. Our house in Waterloo was not posh, but quite big, and we had lots of parties for the family in the early 1970s because we had the space. Probably through a fluke, it ended up with Les. My Uncle Les was with the Royal Signals and was posted to Germany for many years, he came back to the UK to Yorkshire, then Gloucestershire, finally settling in Norfolk, before he passed it back to Mum in the 1990s
It's in quite good condition, plays well and there's no sticks or jumps. But it did get played a lot in its' day. I think with a lot of these albums, whether getting them through family or buying them, I haven't tended to play them that much in recent years because I appreciated their fragile condition, and the digital format is so easily to mess with and manipulate to my heart's content. So mainly, they've been transferred to CD format if I want to play them. When I got it, the disc didn't have an inner sleeve, which I added later.
Top track? Too many of them to mention, the band where getting into a stride. But when push comes to shove probably the cover of "You Really Got A Hold On Me".
